Rachael Rose made her Wofford College debut Monday night, playing 38 minutes and scoring 19 points in an 81-72 women’s basketball loss at Youngstown State.

Rose, an NEPA Elite Clark 17U team and Scranton Prep alumnus, made all nine of her free throws, dished out six assists and came up with three steals. She played last season at the University of South Carolina Upstate where she was Big South Freshman of the Year before graduating.

Cecelia Collins, an NEPA Elite and Scranton Prep teammate, also played her season opener Monday night at Bucknell.

Ethan Meuser from the NEPA Elite Coyle 17U boys team made his college debut at Stonehill College, which was playing for the first time as a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I member.
