The two 14U teams accounted for all three of the NEPA Elite girls teams victories Saturday in the Atlantic City Showcase, a Select Events Basketball competition at the Convention Center.

The NEPA Elite 14U Alers team won twice while the unbeaten 14U Clark team won its only game. They were part of a 3-7 effort by the club’s teams after going 7-2 Friday to open the three-day event.

The Alers team defeated New York Royals, 50-43, and IDream/SK Philly, 45-31, in 14U Division Pool G games. The Clark team, playing up in the 15U Division Pool H, remained perfect on the season with a 47-20 rout of CB Elite.

Also in the 15U Division, the 15U Scoblick team fell to Penn Fever in Pool F, 42-37.

The 16U Rini and Butler teams each lost twice.

Both Rini team defeats came by one point, 41-40 to Boston Showstoppers and 51-50 to Mass Huskies-Beauchemin in Pool F, after the team had won twice Friday.

Daniella Ranieli led the team in scoring in both games with 11 points against Boston and 13 against Mass. Maya Jenkins scored 10 points in each game.

Ranieli is from Pittston Area and Jenkins from Scranton Prep.

The Butler team is playing in Pool I where it lost to Lady Sharks/WeR1, 55-32, and Vale-Talented, 55-42.

Lady Sharks/WeR1 held NEPA Elite to five points in the second half to break away.

Bella Dennebaum scored all 10 of her points in the first half and also led the team with seven rebounds.

Madelyn O’Shea scored eight points and led the team with three assists and three steals.

Madeleine Walsh had six points and five rebounds.

Dennebaum had a double-double against Vale-Talented with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

O’Shea scored 11 points and Teagan Strunk had 10. Nevaeh Baran made three steals.

Dennebaum is from Scranton Prep; O’Shea from Scranton; Walsh from Abington Heights; Strunk from Stroudsburg; and Baran from Nanticoke.

In the 17U Division Pool D, the NEPA Elite 17U Macciocco team fell to Lady Sharks/WeR1, 64-53, and Staten Island Bulldogs, 60-48.
