The NEPA Elite 14U Clark girls team won two more games in Chicago Saturday, clinching the title in its pool and a spot in the semifinals for of the Nike Tournament of Champions.

Going into Sunday morning’s Pool A finale, NEPA Elite is 4-0 and four of the other six teams are 2-2.

There are four pools in the 14U Diamond Division with each of the four winners advancing to the championship bracket of the highest level of the 14U competition of the national event at the McCormick North Place.

NEPA Elite has won all four games by double-figures margins, totaling 112 points.

Zya Small had a pair of double-doubles Saturday as NEPA Elite defeated Inspired Athletes 13U National, 65-46, and 25 Eight Mentality 14U, 62-36.

Small had nine points and Jaelyn Alers all seven of hers in the second half as NEPA Elite pulled away from a two-point game by holding Inspired Athletes to 15 points.

Along with her 21 points and 10 rebounds, Small also had 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots. She was 9-for-11 from the floor.

Ella Clementoni scored 17 points and made 3 steals.

Chrissy Jacklinski had 11 points and 4 assists.

Cora Castellani had seven rebounds, six steals and three assists.

Kam Gallis made both her 3-point attempts for six points and also had three assists.

Jacklinski scored 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds while leading four double-figures scorers in the romp over 25 Eight Mentality.

NEPA Elite outscored 25 Eight, 30-12, in the second half.

Jacklinski made all six of her attempts when NEPA Elite took an eight-point halftime lead with the help of 14-for-17 foul shooting. Clementoni was 6-for-8 in the half while Small was 2-for-3.

Small had 14 points and 11 rebounds while Clementoni and Castellani joined them in double figures with 12 and 10 points.

Clementoni also had seven rebounds.

Castellani had three assists and three steals.

Small and Jacklinski are from Scranton. Clementoni is from North Pocono, Castellani from Valley View, Alers from Scranton Prep and Gallis from Notre Dame of Bethlehem.

The semifinals are scheduled for Sunday with the final set for Monday.
