The NEPA Elite 15U Scoblick team completed a perfect four-day run and the 16U Rini team joined it as pool champion when The Hoop Group’s Jersey Shore Live concluded Monday at Sportika in Manalapan, N.J.

Each team had a single game on the final day.

NEPA Elite 15U Scoblick

NEPA Elite ran its winning streak to eight games (nine if a forfeit is included) when it defeated the Mass Lady Rivals, 53-41, in a 15U Platinum Division Pool C/D game.

NEPA Elite finished 6-0, taking its games by an average of 49-28, to finish three games in front of the Connecticut Bandits and Global Squad 15U HGSL in Pool C when each finished 3-3.

NEPA Elite 16U Rini

Ella Smith went 6-for-9 from the floor while scoring 15 points as NEPA Elite defeated Elevate Elite-Richmond 16U HGSL, 40-35, in a 16U Platinum Division Pool A/B game.

NEPA Elite finished 5-1 to win the four-team Pool A by two games over Boo Williams Red Tide.

Smith also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

NEPA Elite led by 10 points with 2 minutes left before Elevate Elite scored the game’s last 5 points.

Jenna Hillebrand made both her 3-point attempts while adding 10 points in the win.

Claire McGrath led the defense with four steals.

Maggie Coleman, who had a team-high four assists, and Sophia Talutto each blocked two shots.

Hillebrand and McGrath are from Scranton Prep. Smith is from Wallenpaupack, Coleman from Abington Heights and Talutto from Dunmore.

NEPA Elite 16U Butler

Team Elite downed NEPA Elite, 37-32, in a 16U Gold Division Pool A/C game.

NEPA Elite finished 2-4.

Madeleine Walsh scored 12 points to lead NEPA Elite.

Teagan Strunk, who grabbed a team-high five rebounds, and Madelyn O’Shea scored seven points each. O’Shea had two assists.

Riley Turner made three steals.

Walsh is from Abington Heights, Strunk is from East Stroudsburg, O’Shea from Scranton and Turner from Mountain View.

NEPA Elite 17U Haefele

NEPA Elite lost to Vanier Cheetahs, 55-31, in a 17U Platinum Division Pool C/D game and finished 0-6 for the event.

Mackenzie Perluke had nine points and eight rebounds in the loss. Ella Cooper grabbed seven rebounds and dished out three assists while Mackenzie Schirg had five rebounds.

Perluke is from Wyoming Valley West, Cooper from Valley View and Schirg from Lackawanna Trail.
